Plane Crash in Southern Paulding County
On Monday November 8, 2021 at approximately 12:59 PM Paulding E-911 received a phone call reference a small single engine plane that appeared to be in distress. The caller further advised that the small plane appeared to have crashed in the area of the creek on Georgian Parkway in between Hanover Drive and Stafford Lane.
Deputies, along with Firefighters from the Paulding County Fire Department, responded to the area and located the plane. Authorities confirmed that the plane crashed in a wooded area adjacent to a creek. The Paulding County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and confirmed that the pilot was deceased.
Deputies are working with officials at the National Transportation Safety Board as the investigation continues.
Once the pilot’s family has been notified, his identity will be released. #PauldingSheriff #PlaneCrash #GeorgianParkway
