The Paulding County Child Advocacy Center conducted forensic interviews of all suspected victims. Detectives observed these interviews, and subsequently interviewed all potential adult witnesses.
Following the forensic interviews and further investigation, both Andrea and Wesley Thomas were arrested for Battery and Cruelty in the First Degree.
This case is now an active case with pending prosecution.
Therefore, to protect the integrity of the investigation and prosecution, no further details will be released at this time.
We would like to thank the Paulding County School District and the Paulding County Child Advocacy Center for their assistance in this investigation.
Sheriff Ashley Henson stated, “If you or someone you know may be a victim of child neglect or abuse, please contact the Sheriff’s Office. This will not be tolerated in our community. I’m proud of the quick work and timely arrest by our detectives.”
