DALLAS, Ga. — A Paulding County man was arrested after deputies discovered a large quantity of illegal drugs, cash, and a firearm following a brief pursuit, authorities said.
According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Caleb Curry earlier this week, but Curry refused to pull over. After a short chase, deputies were able to stop the vehicle and take Curry into custody.

The Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force, which is managed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, responded to assist with the case and opened an investigation.
Curry was booked into the Paulding County Jail—referred to by deputies as the “Henson Hotel”—and faces multiple charges, including:
Sheriff Ashley Henson said the arrest underscores the department’s commitment to keeping drugs off local streets. “There’s a new sheriff in town,” Henson said in the release. “Take it elsewhere.”
The Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force, based in Dallas, serves Haralson, Polk, and Paulding counties and includes members from multiple law enforcement agencies and the GBI.
